Makinze's Mom

My class & Pre-K are reading buddies. My class had buddies last year and loved it...I know that they are going to love it again this year! Plus, it is another opportunity for me to see Makinze. Here she is with her buddy, Kymberly. Kymberly's parents and I went to elementary-HS together. She is a sweetie.

I still can't believe that my baby is in Pre-K! WOW...the past four years have flown by! Here we are in my room the first morning before we headed out to see all of the kids. She has adjusted extemely well to this huge transition--30 minute commute everyday, leaving our house before 7 am, new friends, new school, and the hardest part leaving momma when she knows that I am just a few doors away! She has only had a few rough mornings--but I went to see her on my plan time and she was great. One afternoon I even got to go lay down with her for naptime for a few minutes~I absolutely love having her so close!

Ok, so no one fell off and broke their head...but they had a great time jumping at the hotel! Brenda, Melissa & the kids, Mak & I went to spend the night in Tulsa a few weeks ago...we shopped, shopped some more, and took the kids to the aquarium in Jenks! It was a great time and Makinze had a blast hanging out with her friends.

And they sleep! We were all exhausted after our long day...Brenda was the only one awake on the way home!

We officially have a new preacher (well, as of July 23)! Nathan, Brandy, Jacob & Jordan have joined our family! Makinze has bonded with Brandy & their dog, Angel. In fact, Makinze left the building last Sunday evening and went to their house (without permission) with Jacob & Jordan so she could see Angel. She wants to stop everytime we drive by to see Angel...I am finding that I avoid driving that way! Here is a pic of Jessica, Brandy & Makinze on the day we helped moved them in!
